Importance of links for search engines!

Search Engines crawls every page of web through hyper links. This mean links play an important part not only for the ranking algorithm.

As far as I know, these are the important reasons you should use proper anchor text.

1) Search engine ranking highly depends on anchor text. Use relatively similar anchors for your links. For example, for the term link building, use

Link Building Information
Link Building Techniques
Link Building Service

etc. with major percentage of links using "link building " as anchor text.

2) Links play an important role to determine the nature of linked page. This means most natural links will be describing the linked page very much. This is taken into consideration while ordering your pages in search engines.

3) Links are starting point for a search engine crawler. This means every pages indexed by search engines happen only if you have atleast one link pointing to them. This means if you want your site to get indexed, you should have atleast one link pointing to your site.

Make sure every page in your site accessible by sitemap.

4) Hyper links with proper anchor text brings attention to reader.

Just like we bold text in articles, hyper links also helps to pass information to user. Since majority of web surfer scan documents, it is necessary to make some bolding of hyperlinks in content to feed thier eye. :)
